Why I love Audio Books… #BoldAudio Appreciation Month for June
Posted by Jina Bacarr
Who doesn’t remember with great fondess cuddling your Teddy Bear while your mom or dad read to you before you went to sleep?
You can bring back those good feelings with audio books when you cuddle up with an audio book and listen to a brilliant story as told by so many fab narrators with Boldwood Books.
For example, here’s an AUDIO BOOK example from THE ORPHANS OF BERLIN as read by Laurel Lefkow and Polly Edsell.
Happy Listening!
Jina
——————-
THE ORPHANS OF BERLIN
A heartbreaking World War 2 novel that tells the story of two women’s fight for love, family and hope, as the world crumbles around them. Based on the true story of the Kindertransport rescue from Nazi-occupied Europe.
Berlin, 1936. The Landau family are at the heart of their community, running a music shop in Berlin and just trying to survive. But their lives are unravelling as Hitler’s power increases and the treatment of Jewish families deteriorates. Eldest daughter, Rachel, fears for her sisters’ future and will do anything she can to keep them safe. Will she find hope in the darkness?
Paris, 1936. As whispers of war travel over from Europe, American debutante Kay escapes her mother’s grasp and travels as a reluctant spy from Paris to Berlin. But a chance meeting with the Landau family will change her life forever. Kay is determined to give Rachel and her sisters a fighting chance in a society where the youngest are paying the ultimate price, even if it means making dangerous enemies along the way…
As the world marches toward war, these brave women will find strength in joining forces to save the ones they love. But they will need the support of one another more than they will ever realise in order to survive…
A gripping and heart-wrenching historical novel about hope, tragedy and two women’s limitless courage. Perfect for fans of The Tattooist of Auschwitz, The Nightingale and My Name is Eva.

Bring Your Teddy Bear to Work & School Day and don’t forget the mocha latte…
Posted by Jina Bacarr
Writers write.
Teddy bears cuddle.
Who is in more need of a cuddle than a writer staring at the empty page?
So on Bring Your Teddy Bear to Work & School Day, grab those wonderful teddies and sit them next to your computer. Then watch the words fly onto the page as they whisper into your ear. Helping you write that love scene with more oomph…or googling research for you.
But if your teddy bears are like mine, they don’t work for peanuts.
Nope. It’s got to be double lattes. Pumpkin spice and a salted caramel mocha.
Who am I to argue? I think I’ll join them…delicious.
Happy writing!

Check out my Royals of Monterra Kindle Worlds: ROYAL DARE
When Princess Violetta goes off to rehab at the end of Sariah Wilson’s (Royal Date) Kindle Worlds Royals of Monterra, she can’t take her tiara with her.
Princess Violetta is the younger sister of the hero, Prince Nico, in Sariah’s story.
She’s also a meth addict.
When she goes off to rehab in the States (after being tossed out of a posh London rehab), she doesn’t tell anyone she’s a princess.
Though her British accent and her purse collection (who else but a princess would bring all this stuff to rehab? asked a resident) earn her the nickname of “Princess.”‘
Still, it ain’t easy getting clean…even for a princess.
COMING *** November 8, 2016: ROYAL BRIDE — Zoey’s story from ROYAL DARE.***
————-
I first met Princess Violetta in Sariah Wilson’s story, ROYAL DATE.
You can meet see what happened to her afterward in rehab in ROYAL DARE.
I fell in love with the Monterra family, especially Violetta. I call her the “misunderstood princess.” She has everything—looks, money and a title—yet she fell victim to the seductive power of drugs. Why? I wondered. What led her down this path?
I was intrigued to answer that question, but more importantly, I wanted to know what happened to Violetta when she went to rehab. How hard is it for a princess to get clean? And will she find her prince when she does?
I answer this question and more in my Kindle Worlds “The Royals of Monterra” story, ROYAL DARE.
I hope you enjoy it!
