What’s a time-traveling heroine to do? Love Me Forever Day 17

When Liberty Jordan time travels back to 1862 disguised as a Confederate officer, she has no idea she’s about to trade her boots for a parasol and hoop skirt…and take the place of a wily Southern belle.

And fall in love with her fiance, a handsome Union Army major. A surgeon saving soldiers’ lives. When he conscripts her to help him (he believes she’s a Confederate medical officer), she can’t think about anything but him for weeks afterward.

When the belle, Pauletta Sue, tells her she’s off on a spying adventure, Liberty secretly dreams of taking her place on her wedding day…

She pined to see Flynt again, hear his low, sexy voice when he talked about Virginia and his home. See his eyes shine when they saved a soldier’s limb, or watch him standing outside the hospital tent with the late afternoon sun in his eyes, exhaling deeply when the last casualty was brought in. He never stopped, never gave up until the last man was seen. Operating through the night in a tent teeming with insects and the metallic smell of blood. It was mad, crazy, and overwhelmed her senses. Damn, he overwhelmed her senses. Every inch of him a compassionate and powerful male. She could think of nothing else these past weeks, praying, hoping she’d see him again.

And now this. A wedding at Christmas.

The temptation to indulge in romantic scenarios with him made her heart soar. She couldn’t shake the persistent need she had to find love. Yes, she was vulnerable, yes, she was lonely. Somehow she was hurled into this wild adventure with him.

So why not?

Liberty squeezed her eyes tight and let her imagination go.

This was her reality, here, now. And if that meant flying into his arms in a bridal veil, letting him kiss her, touch her, her body writhing under his, she wouldn’t look back. She’d race forward into the deepest depths of her soul and God willing, find the intimate joy she yearned for. But it wouldn’t be without a cost to her heart. She wanted him, but she could never have him. She’d always be someone else in his eyes.

She wore gray.
He wore blue.
But their love defied the boundaries of war.
And time.

LOVE ME FOREVER is on Kindle Scout — you can read the first 5,000 words HERE. You’ll meet both my heroines and both my heroes in the excerpt. If you nominate my story and it’s published by Kindle Scout, then you’ll receive a free copy!

It’s a saga of love and romance and war. Believe me, I walked every road, fought every battle with my characters, even walked around in a hoop skirt to “get it right.”

This is a book of the heart…any questions? Please ask!!

I’ll be back tomorrow with more about LOVE ME FOREVER and the Civil War…

If anyone feels like sharing a vote…I’ll be forever grateful!

Thank you for stopping by.

And thank you soooo much for your support — I’m back on the HOT list at Kindle Scout!! This means a lot to me.
